Polished Concrete Flooring

START WITH A FREE ON-SITE ASSESSMENT

Polished concrete is an excellent flooring option for commercial and industrial applications, offering a sleek, minimalistic look with durability, and ease of maintenance.

We prepare the existing concrete slab by mechanically grinding or shot blasting to remove old floor patches or paint. The process continues with grinding, polishing, sealing, and optional decorative enhancements like overlays and stains. We will repair cracks, fill expansion joints, and patch surface holes during the polished concrete process.

Polished concrete is durable, offers ease of maintenance, and provides an attractive, professional finish suitable for retail spaces, corporate offices, industrial settings, and more.

How Concrete Floors are Polished

On the vast majority of jobs, we’re polishing the existing concrete slab. Before we can do that, we need to remove any flooring materials that are present such as carpet, tile, or wood. Once removed, we’ll repair any cracks or holes that are present in the slab, unless you want them to be a part of the final design. If necessary, we’ll also fill expansion joints.

Next is the grinding process. The level of grit used during the various stages for the grinding process will be determined by the amount of aggregate exposure desired and the condition of the concrete we’re working with.

Once we’ve ground, polished, and sealed the floor, we can apply a variety of decorative options to the surface. If you don’t want the natural color of the concrete, we can apply overlays and stains to enhance or change the color of the surface. No two concrete floors are the same, and we work directly with our clients to help them achieve the perfect look for their new floor. Just give us a call to discuss your ideas for your flooring project.

Polishing is completed using resin pads of varying grits. We’ll also use a densifier which will penetrate the concrete and help harden and dust-proof the surface.

Why Choose Polished Concrete?

Polished concrete offers many advantages over other flooring options. First, it’s one of the most durable options available, making it the perfect solution for industrial applications which require the floor to withstand heavy point loads.

Next, polished concrete is among the easiest flooring options to clean and maintain, keeping maintenance simple and costs low. It’s incredibly easy to create a safe and clean environment for workers and guests with polished concrete floors.

Finally, many of our clients just love the aesthetic that polished concrete provides. Its high-gloss finish is attractive and professional without being over-the-top. It creates a perfect vibe for retail spaces, corporate offices, industrial spaces, and more.
