Self-leveling cement is a solution we use to correct sagging or out of level floors or when a client needs a flooring surface that’s as level as humanly possible. We’ve also used it to repair damaged and deteriorating cement surfaces as a part of a refinishing and resurfacing project.
Self-leveling cement allows us to create a smooth, flat, and level surface even if the floor itself is sloped or uneven. Combined with grinding and polishing, epoxy coatings, and more, self-leveling cement can provide a flawless, even surface while still offering a variety of aesthetic options. You can even use it as an underlayment for other flooring materials such as wood, tile, vinyl, or carpet if you choose.
Self-Leveling Cement Installation
Self-leveling cement is poured or pumped into the area in which it is being installed. Then, it’s distributed using a spreader. The pour will naturally settle into a smooth, even surface. Once the pour has cured, which takes less than a full day, it’s up to you what you want to do next.
The surface can be ground down and polished to create a beautiful polished cement surface. Or, you can apply an Epoxy Coating allowing for all sorts of custom decorative options.
We love self-leveling cement because it provides an excellent foundation for just about anything the customer wants to do. Industry-Specific Applications
We’ve used self-leveling cement to satisfy some very unique customer requirements. Some industries are required to place special emphasis on having level floors. Specifically, we’ve used self-leveling cement to provide flooring for spaces which use sensitive medical imaging equipment. Because we can guarantee a level surface within just 1/8th of an inch, it’s the perfect flooring solution for this purpose.
We’ve also used self-leveling cement in areas which use rolling equipment and machinery, such as retail and industrial spaces. These areas need level surfaces to ensure safety and ease of operations.
